I am 15 and run 1 or 2 miles everyday. Im captain of my soccer team so i feel like i have to be well conditioned. One of the earlier games i played, i noticed this girl who was crazy fast. So now i realllly wanna be crazy fast.

Move to Bed-Sty

Run down hills, walk up them. This should help in many ways, you might not have the hills and willingness for this though.

@404cassie a place in Brooklyn with all the wonders of running all in one place. If you do end up moving there you would have to quit your soccer team as well. Not long ago it was known as the largest ghetto in the US.

/edit

I actually don’t see anything to do with soccer or running in bed-stuy.

By running faster. Furthermore, if you want to win races, get out in front at the beginning and don’t let anyone pass you.

One trick I learned back in my soccer days is to sprint faster you have to actually move your arms faster. It sounds unintuitive, but when you’re running if you focus on moving your arms faster, your feet will be forced to keep up and you’ll end up moving faster.

I still think about that when I’m playing ultimate and it definitely works.

Stop running and realize why you are running; then meditate.

Keep your back straight. And listen to the Voodoo Glow Skulls while running.

Say: I think I can, I think I can. And run, Forrest.

In all honesty, soooo many people have a very bad running form and can wind up doing some pretty hefty damage. I hired a personal trainer when I began running. I know these sort of things are not cheap, but a few good beginner lessons are all you really need. You’d be suprised how much easier and faster you can run with the right form and breathing technique! – LB

I’d say run up hills, not down, to strengthen the quadriceps used in sprinting, as well as farclets (or however it’s spelled) where you run part of mile and walk just as much then run again. Keep doing those to build your sprinting muscles will help you to run faster. Also, cross-training, such as on Crossfit.com, swimming, biking, etc.
