Moderators do not see people’s private PM’s.
Some of them can.
But you are crazy if you think they care unless they need to care.
Not just our private comments, our private parts!
Seriously, my understanding is if there is a need (eg.- problems such as harassment, etc.) they (they being the founders and community managers) will, but normally they won’t invade our privacy.
Well of course the founders can. They built the site.
I for one, do not see your PM’s.
Yes. But only when they need to.
There was a problem with harassment a few years ago. I told Andrew about it and he looked at them. But like I said, they have better things to look at. There is porn on the Internet.
does this mean there is a color-coded andrew created threat level chart? are we on red??!?!
Founders and community managers can, if need be. We don’t do it for our pleasure, only if there is a problem with harassment.
Geez. Didn’t I just say that?

You been checking out my (private) Pm’s?
@NewZen no one wants to check out your privates, dude. things of little concern don’t interest them…
@eponymoushipster—PM me when you have a minute – we haven’t settled yet on a club for tonight, luv. Bring the “stuff.”-
YOU MEAN MY BRAINS?
@NewZen there’s no girls left in those clubs by 2:15am. you better just go on your own.
I’ll be over later for a nightcap. We’ll discuss the threesome, and the length of my privates.
Hey, can I get in on this?
@eponymoushipster , you damn sexy monkey, the clubs here in L.A. are still very much alive and filled with beautiful women. Transport out here immediately with your banana in hand and mojo in all its glory. if you strike out at the clubs, you can come back to my place….you know @sccrowell has the hots for you and I have a ton of paperwork to catch up on.
@NewZen….Welcome to fluther, new jelly. You have much to learn…there is no reason for paranoia. Let me guess you are also quite a distance from L.A…..perhaps 5000 miles? Likewise, transport immediately and don’t forget your little brain. somehow I doubt your brain is little and I suspect it is filled with Beatle song titles among many other things….besides, I find self deprecation attractive at times
As for me, I shall fire up my organ in anticipation of your arrivals….seems it has met with some recent adulation, tho it has always enjoyed great esteem through the long and hard of it.
See ya soon….Gary/wtf
[Not the mod] says @whatthefluther stay on topic please: private PMs. Not private PMS!
I had a question about this…I’m not worried, as it’s not a big deal to me. But, when an owner or community manager goes to a persons profile, do you automatically see all the comments like the person would? Or you have to turn that feature on? Or just ignore the private comments? I’m just curious!
@casheroo As Ryan mentioned (scroll up) Bendrew can – if there’s a need (abuse or whatever). But they do not see it all automatically, nor have the time and patience (I imagine) to read all of our gibberish and PM’s.
I’ve asked this question before, and was told the same thing as others have mentioned here. If you want something to be truly private, don’t put it in a pm here. They have the ability to look at PMs, if they think it is necessary. Obviously they don’t have time for this, and I doubt if they are interested in it, but it is possible, and people should take that into consideration when they consider what to put in a pm.
Database administrators in a bank can see your salary. This doesn’t mean they’re spying. Sensitive data is to be treated with special care. Why NewZen? Are you a new person?
First @Zen morphs to @NewZen now @evelyns_pet_zebra morphs into @psychodelic_zebra. I am sensing a new Fluthercult that shuns accumulated lurve and seeks the purity of a new start. :)
ok “new” people. You do know that when you delete your account I need to remove someone from my fluther to add the “new” you. you know I like me a large fluther
grrr
