Has anyone used the waterproof case for iPod?

I usually run but I have hurt my knee and am swimming instead. I get so bored just doing laps back and forth, back and forth.
I have seen the ads for a waterproof case and waterproof headphones that are safe to wear in the pool. They are not cheap so before I make the investment I wondered if anyone has any personal experience or thoughts?

I have had waterproof cases (budget ones) for cell phones fail, I would be very cautious.
There is one called H2O that all the swimmers use and it looks good but I am having trouble sourcing in Australia and it is not cheap!
I would just get the swimmer’s MP3 player (the name escapes me now, but I used to see it all the time in my swimming magazines). It’s about $60—$100 and is meant for swimming laps. It attaches to your cap on the back of your head.
I found something similar, but this is not quite it. Same concept though. I would get these, because if it fails, then it’s not an iPod that gets broken and you don’t have a failed (expensive) case lying around.
You can’t go wrong with anything made by otterbox, and all of their products are guaranteed for life.
@mcbealer Are they designed for use underwater for the long term? Not just the occasional spill or dunk.
@ShiningToast ~ some are, the armor series for example. 100% waterproof and operational iPod when underwater. They also sell waterproof headphones.
@mcbealer – I have seen ads for Otterbox and they look pretty good. Thanks for the info.
