Why can I get the same award so many times, I’ve gotten jelly-helper at least 30 times and herman-mellvill at least 10 times. There’s to number on my profile to show how many times I got it, so whats the point??

You are using Fluther. If you stop it won’t happen. ;)
It happens each time you qualify – be the first to reply – nothing unusual that I can see.
Hover over the award on your user page. It shows how many times you got it.
Example
Oh really? Ill have to test it when I’m not using my iPod.
Oh. I doubt it works on your iPod.
@johnpowell I thought the number of times awarded was how many times it had been handed out to all the Flutherites in total not just to an individual.
I think he means on your profile page, not the award list.
On this page http://www.fluther.com/awards/ you get:
Wrote an answer that got 5 Great Answers. Awarded to 1244 users.
On my page I get what I posted above. On yours it said that you got it 44 times.
And while we are discussing awards it would be nifty to get a list of quips/questions that got us the award. I’m kinda curious what a few of them are for.
@johnpowell: I thought that would be nice too… especially for those high numbers of GQ/GAs… it would be cool if we clicked on the reward on any users page and could be brought to that post. I think it would be a good way for newbies to get to know some of the older members and the history of Fluther.
The goal is once you win all the awards possible.
Andrew and Ben show up at your house. Give you a Limited Edition pair of cement boots and you get to swim with the fishes.
As every good jelly should.
@ChazMaz well it ought to be something, since they never show up with the goddamn guacamole that was promised.
