How would you describe an orgasm (male or female) if you had to write it for an erotica class?

Asked by wundayatta (58741points) October 18th, 2009

Someone just asked a question about the science of orgasm. At first, I thought it was more than that, but it turned out to be a question for Wikipedia. I thought a question about the feelings that really delved deeply into the experience through time—of the whole body—might be more interesting. I wanted to challenge people to take this seriously (except blondesjon), and work hard to make everyone else feel what it’s like to be in your body. If you imagine it inside your head, and you pay attention to as many details as you can—what is happening in various parts of your body; what is happening inside your head—what would you write?

The expulsion of your soul.
Directed through a narrow channel, discharged at a rate greater then your grasp.

i would say that an orgasm feels kind of like a sneeze. as for what is going on in my mind, i am simply trying to empty my testicles of what i call ’‘the juices of irrational behaviour’’. as a teenager i was quite addicted to the sensation, now i am simply trying to get on with my day.

An explosion of your pants.
Except, hopefully, without the pants.

edit: Oh, that’s for male.
For female I think it’s like.. Taking a ride with a unicorn over a rainbow to Imaginationland where you’re tickled by fairies for a few hours.
Any ladies, confirm/deny?

it’s been called historically, the ‘little death’. That’s the best description I can think of.

The Male\Female orgasm can be summed up into this: Pure Euphoria<3 – LB

Something that we are so unable to define that we continually strive to achieve that feeling again. We do this in the hope that we will be able to express with our brains what is so powerfully imprinted upon our nerves and etched into our souls.

As you reach the climax, you can feel a stream of passion and energy rush towards your genitals. Your breath gets quicker and more intense as your head tilts upwards. Your limbs tense up and your body begins to arch. And as you get closer and closer to that cliff edge with each escalating breath your eyes close in sheer delirium and your mouth widens in ecstasy.

Perched precariously on the ledge, your body teeters in shivering tension. And then when you fall off, your body explodes in a mass of euphoria. The energy is all released in pounding waves of pleasure as your body writhes to a primal rhythm, each pulsation bringing with it a new crazed thrashing, falling faster and faster down into pure atavistic exhilaration.

And as it starts dying down, everything calms down. Your limbs straighten and relax, your eyes open again and you lay your head on the bed. But the memories are fresh. Your body can still feel it. Your mouth is still open from the shock of it all. And in the darkness, you feel like you’ve woken up, except that you’re still dreaming…

Does it matter whether you’re male or female? Why should it be any different?
Plus, I think it’s much better when not alone.

I don’t know why, but writing that felt cathartic.. And through the process.. I could almost feel myself having one..

If writing this for an erotica class, I think it would be a bit steamier.
You know, the “beautiful eruption of her repressed juices released in a flood of joyous rapture”.
Just a sec, let me put on some Donna Summer.

It’s the voluntary release of energy that brings a moment of electricity through your body providing the volunteer with a sense of worth and nirvana.

@Sarcasm , I personally think that’s creepy, though some people agree with you:

Hmm honestly I agree with @Dog. But it feels pleasurable…but as for women…I’m assuming a tingling sensation that ripples through their body as their moaning and pleading for more!

Momentarily, for but the briefest of moments, everything wonderful in your life – from the moment of birth to the baby’s first laughter, converges, mercilessly, erupting forth like a volcano of ecstasy – and then, just as briefly and mercilessly, subsides.
