Have you ever known someone who has gone to a Mexican cancer clinic, and got their cancer cured?

I’ve read plenty of anecdotes about people with success stories at Mexican cancer clinics. But I’ve never met anyone who had such an experience. Have you?

I recently heard about this. Unfortunately a friend of ours is suffering from Breast Cancer. She has good treatment here, thankfully. But this prompted a discussion. A friend in the community had been diagnosed with cancer. She couldn’t get the proper treatment here so decided to go to Mexico. They did give her good treatment but I suppose she had waited to long to go so it wasn’t effective. That is all I know about the scenario. I am all for cancer patients getting whatever help is needed on whatever terms they feel is appropriate.

What I can’t remember, which was the point of the conversation, is why people go to Mexico for treatment. Was it cost? I think that was it. She didn’t have good healthcare here and in Mexico she could get the help without the extreme cost.

I have a friend who said she went to Mexico to get her cancer cured, but after asking her a bunch of questions, it seems like she had a lump and bypassed the doctors all together so she never had a definitive diagnosis.
She said that the practitioner told her that she was lucky she never had any medical treatment because her “cures” rarely work after chemo.

All I know if shit happens to me that is serious, I expect I will either being going alternative native medicine, or Mexico.

I’ve heard of stuff like this but never known anyone who actually did it, usually it’s a “friend of a friend” or something. Just recently though the subject came up again and I thought someone was referencing a book that talked about it maybe “Politics In Healing” or “The Cancer Conspiracy” or “The Cancer Cure That Worked” I can’t really remember. The point of bringing it up was I thought I was told that the author interviewed people who’s cancer was cured through such clinics. I do know (or at least have been told reliably) it’s substantially cheaper getting treated there and they have some very good people doing cutting edge work. So at least some people who might not otherwise make it here, if for no other reason than cost or access, find themselves cured after an extended stay across the border.
