What edible grocery product could be used as a face moisturizer?
I’m looking for a simple product that could be purchased at a grocery store – preferably a food – that could also act as a moisturizer.

olive oil in very small amounts
avocado
mayonaise
…antioxidant-rich foods—including carrot, pumpkin, sweet potato, and melon—to keep skin soft and smooth while battling off wrinkle-causing free radicals
@dunkin_donutz, welcome. I second the avocado, which you can mix into a mask with a few drops of olive oil. You can also use brown sugar mixed with olive oil and lemon juice to exfoliate before the avocado mask.
milk, sour cream, mayo, crisco
All are great as moisturizers.
@SpatzieLover I don’t think I could brign myself to rub Crisco on my face though. :)
What @christine215 said. Don’t know if I’d want to put Crisco on my face. And yes, you can eat aloe, or at least the gel parts of it, anyhoo.
@zephyr826 __A lot of southern women swear by Crisco & use it as their sole moisturizer for body and face, and as a make up remover, as well._
I love learning new stuff… You can eat aloe! (I just googled it, apparently it’s good for digestion…makes sense)
@christine215 I order my organic aloe from Amazon. I slather it on and drink a shot….wonderful stuff.
Eggs are supposed to make a nice mask, but I’m not sure if it’s the yolk or the white.
@aprilsimnel The yolks are good for dry hair (use like a leave in treatment, then wash after 10 mins) The whites are good for pore tightening.
If cucumbers are so good for one’s eyes, why wouldn’t they be good for the rest of one’s face?
