On the newly updated Facebook, is there a way to block the script that reads "Reconnect with (fill in the blank)"?

I really don’t know but y facebook just messed up. I refreshed and it changed the set-up somehow. I can’t figure out how to fix it. Argh! I hate these things. Thanx for letting me vent. I hope your problem gets fixed out.

@RedPowerLady The new home page appears to be here to stay. I really wish they would give some options as to what people want on their homepage, rather than what Facebook tells you that you will have, but I guess it is their site, and I don’t have to use it.

It has News Feed vs. Live Feed at the top and the Status box is quite different?

Nope, it wasn’t something you clicked on. I thought that the site was loading slow because no graphics came up on my news feed, so I assumed that the site was undergoing some changes, and then I clicked over to the Facebook updates blog and found this post from about an hour and a half ago.

@limeaide I’m referring to the new side panel box underneath “people you may know” which is “reconnect with…..”

@limeaide Even while clicking on Live Feed it is not the same.

@buckyboy28 I don’t believe I have that on my page.

@buckyboy28 I know it’s not the same I guess for some reason I felt compelled to offer suggestions for people that didn’t like the new page.

@RedPowerLady It’s in the suggestions box, where people you may know show up. If you click x it gets rid of the notice on that particular suggestion. Currently I’ve x’d out of all of my suggestions so my box is empty.

@limeaide I look in my suggestion box and there is nothing there of the sort, i mean what @buckyboy28 is trying to get rid of. I don’t have that (yet).

@RedPowerLady I’m guessing that if you stay in touch pretty well with everyone in your friends list you may not get these suggestions. Could that be the case?

I see no changes on mine, but it is extensively modified with a few apps etc., connections to Flickr etc.

@DarkScribe It appears to be going in waves. It will probably be updated soon. In the meantime, try to forget everything you are used to on the home page.
