Has Fluther cross pollinated with SpongeBob SquarePants?
What is all this guff about “tide pool”,“coral reef” and “Atlantis”?
Is this a progressive or regressive step?
Are you turned on by this sort of thing? Is this an exciting development? Or a ‘Dumbing Down’?
Are you at all moved, positively by this ‘innovation’?
Or just disappointed?

Just a few fun, frilly foibles that fellow flutherers can flaunt about faffily.
Love this (soon to disappear question. Lurve!
I like it. It’s kind of like Achievements Xbox 360 or Trophies PS3.
It’s called a theme. Our mascot so to speak is a jellyfish. A fluther is a group of jellyfish who hang out in the tide pool near the coral reef. It wouldn’t make much sense for jellyfish to be hanging out in the Arabian Desert, would it?
I really like it. I think it’s a nice way to draw all the components of Fluther together.
I like the theme, it makes te site feel that much friendlier. Also it helps answer old questions like “what is lurve used for?” as well as giving a much deserved pat on the back to those jellies that do so much to help the rest of us out.
Having answered that… “Who lives in a pineaple under the sea?”
@Dr_C SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS!
It’s entertaining, but I’m curious to know what the Pilgrim badge is for…religiously fluthering?
You have to admire the cool nautical theme involved in both.
Maybe you actually watch too much Spongebob, @lloydbird .
@Fred931 Damn!, I seem to have revealed one of my secrets.
Interesting…. Spongebob is overly sensitive…
