Hello, my mother broker her foot a few weeks ago, and she is no longer wearing the cast/boot. She is looking for a stylish shoe with orthopedic comfort. Stylish being the key, we cannot find anything that will be comfortable enough for her foot, and look good at the same time. Any suggestions of brand or style?

Stylish isn’t going to happen easily, especially if she has to fit in an orthotic. However, you can see if Foot Smart offers anything that is acceptable. Trotters tend to run a bit narrow, but Softspots and SoftWalk aren’t bad. My mother loves Mephistos and I have had some luck with Hush Puppies.
However, she should stick to flats unless her doctor says she can wear a slight heel.
Not going to happen. The best I’ve found is the Sketchers flats, but nothing is going to fit both criteria.
avvooooooo has had 2 major foot surgeries, many broken bones in her foot, and a couple of broken toes
I guess it depends on your definition of stylish! I love Simple and Bjorn, Title Nine has some good ones. Even Keen has some non sandals that I like. Try onlineshoes.com
I love it when people say Hush Puppies and Clark’s make wide shoes. I wear a 5E and, trust me, neither company makes a shoe that’s wide enough. Personally, I stick with New Balance and Birkenstock. However, people will normal if injured feet can do well in those narrower brands.
@Darwin are you in the uk? My hush puppies are a wider fit!
No, I am in the US and Hush Puppies do indeed carry a “wider” shoe. However, their “wider” is at most a 2E, aka WW, not a 5E. Clark’s makes at most a W. Most people wear a narrower shoe than that. In any case, I have learned through experience that if a shoe site does not give a choice of width, that their shoes are “Medium” (generally the equivalent of a B or C width).
When you attempt to visualize my feet think of Kermit without the green color.
