I now have a price for the product i have made and want to sell. all calculated with help/answers to my fluther question.
I have, and am happy to say so.
I have a much better understanding why atheists have good reasons for being atheists and also a better understanding of angry atheists and what makes them tick.
It (you all) helped me get through a good part of 2009. Seriously.
Great computer advice (thanks johnpowell).
Help with planning a trip.
Help with job stuff.
Help with relationship stuff.
If I didn’t gain anything by being here, I wouldn’t be here.
Most of all, I think fluther makes me laugh, and amuses me. I greatly need this in my life.
Yes- without a doubt.
With the excellent advice I have gotten on Fluther I have:
Saved literally hours of time on projects by fine- tuning Photoshhop
Had a custom key made for an antique buffet.
Learned the best way to approach a delicate issue with a loved one.
Learned that hitting the top bar on the iPhone always brings you to the top of the application or web page. ( I had no idea and this was incredible!)
I have learned and used countless other things but am out of time right now to list any more.
I don’t really ask for advice all that often on here. The times I have, I always got helpful answers. But what I like most about fluthering is hearing different points of view. You guys make me feel not so alone in grappling with my own confusion, because a plethora of different answers tends to mean that the issue is in fact confusing, and I’m not just crazy.
I don’t ask for advice all that often either, but I think that answering questions helps me to organize my own thoughts, which is helpful in real life. Sometimes I’ll be having a conversation and realize that the reason I have something thought-out and insightful to say is because someone asked it on Fluther, and I sat and thought out a response for a good 10 minutes – and got to read other opinions on it, too. It’s like being part of a think-tank, only it’s not like a biology think-tank or a political think-tank… it’s a LIFE think-tank. :D
Fluther cured my hiccups.
yes I’ve had some good answers to my questions, but also learned a whole heap from reading other posts! Thanks Fluther :)
There have been many times when I have found comfort in peoples answers to my questions especially when it comes to mentl health etc. You are never alone on Fluther that’s for sure :)
I asked a question about having feelings for someone that I had only met once that lives in another state. At the time, I was pretty skeptical of something like this. It just wasn’t something I’d normally be interested in, and I thought it was a little strange of me to even like someone that I wasn’t around on a regular basis. But the answers were all positive and kind of egged me on, and so this gave me a little more confidence in that area, and now it’s blossoming into a cute little relationship.
Thanks Fluther, I owe you a life or two.
PS the answers on this thread could be a commercial for Fluther. We should arrange that.
love it :) (can’t find the up arrow on my keyboard to point to post above!)
where did the post above go??
I think there have been one or two questions where I asked for advice, and I was helped. Normally I ask questions to start discussions, and I have been very happy with what people have said.
What I like about fluther is that it’s fun to think through the questions people ask. I do that mostly for myself, but if the answer seems on target to the questioner or others, that’s extra sweet!
Offline life? I had one of those once, but I didn’t like it.
Yes, I have received good advice from different members of Fluther. No, I cannot state any specific examples of this at the present time. The assistance of Jellies have benefitted not only my state of mind but my way of life too. Thank you one and all.
Much more than I expected!
I benefited much from Computer advice, English, web. I got to learn many things, personal and behaviuoral, etc. Not all from that I asked questions on but more from other’s questions. There are many educated and experienced (both in work and personal life) people here on Fluther!.
From my experience, I have much confidence in Fluther now. Whenever I come across a problem and I cannot solve or want to get advice from, I just sit back and relax; I know there’s Fluther to help me out.
Thanks @All! Thanks @Fluther!
I don’t usually ask many “what should I do” questions, but I’ve seen a lot of good advice given on here.
I usually ask advice for myself or others. Fluther has helped my relationship with my husband, my cat, and my students. It gives me something to look forward to, and to strive for (someday 10K lurve). I can’t imagine my day without it.
