How to change the font size of a PowerPoint themed slide?

Asked by xTheDreamer (897points) October 28th, 2009

I picked out a theme for my PowerPoint presentation but this theme it’s font is caps locked it doesn’t want to go with lowercase fonts. How can I change it?

I chose the theme “Opulent” and when I put the title for my slide the whole thing comes out caps lock but I don’t want it that way. How can I change it so that I can set the font whenever I want uppercase or lowercase?

Opulent is killing me here!

Well, for starters, may be don’t use a pre-set layout. Just go with a blank page….

Let me suggest something obvious: your Caps-Lock key is on?

@PapaLeo LOL! Oh, I hope that’s not it! I don’t have powerpoint on this computer, but I’m thinking that if he uses the preset layout, the header may default to all caps, but I can’t check because I don’t have powerpoint, and I do wish he’d tell us if he got it figured out!

@PapaLeo It’s was totally obvious that my caps lock key wasn’t on because i would of seen it since the light next to it would turn on. I tried turning on the caps lock to see if it would go into the lower case but no, then I turned it off and it’s still caps lock.

But whatever, it doesn’t matter anymore I had my presentation this morning already so yeah thanks anyways.

1. Select the text box (click on boundary of the text box; cursor changes similar to that is when moving it).
2. Go in Home tab; there’s a (pull-down) button called Change Case (below the fonts, font size, etc.). Click it, choose from:
i) Sentence case. (first letter/character of sentence is capital)
ii) lowercase (all in lowercase)
iii) UPPERCASE (all in capital)
iv) Capitalize Each Word (first character of each word is capitalized)
v) tOGGLE cASE (all characters/letters are case-reversed).

Ensure that you ERASE your slide master.
1. Go to View + Slide Master – delete the preset textboxes. (Then you can design the slide anyway you like.
2. Go to View + Normal to return to your slide
3. Insert + Text Box
4. Left click and start typiong
5. Control + A (to select all)
6. Go yo Home tab and click on the Aa icon to switch case.
