Do I need anything else for my birthday party?
So, I’ll be having my birthday at an arcade type place. It’ll be a private party and so it’ll just be me and my guests. Since I’m the type to over-worry, I just wanted to make sure I’ve gotten everything I need for it. For my income, the rent is quite expensive to me, so for food, I’ll only be supplying the cake and drinks.
So, I’ll be bringing along a cake or two, a knife to cut the cake, forks, napkins, plates, cups, the drinks, a lighter and candles. Am I needing to bring anything else to my party?

Don’t forget party hats, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Lol, thanks, but my actual birthday isn’t until later, I’m still just in the process of planning. (no birthday hats…lol l)
Maybe a notepad and a pencil to jot down who gave you what so you can send them each a thank you note. That way, next year, they will give you another gift.
@Darwin, thanks for the suggestion, but that might seem extremely weird to them if I open a gift, and then stop to write it down before I open the next. I’ll probably get my friends to take pictures of me opening the gifts and the person who gifted me beside me. =D
Sounds like all you need to bring is you with a smile and playful attitude @curiouscat!
Enjoy!
@curiouscat ; assign someone else the job of writing down who brought what. Thank-you notes never go out of style.
@Judi, for real? I’ve never given anybody a thank you note before…. nor have I ever received one. I just kinda yell thank you at them, give a hug, pose for pic, and that’s it. =\
Judi is absolutely right.
Thank-you notes are appropriate for many things, and above all for (a) gifts and (b) hosting your visit as a houseguest. Writing a nice note—it doesn’t have to be long or fancy—shows you really know your manners and you have some class.
Thank you notes make people remember you in a good way. Besides, when you mail them you are giving the postal workers something to do.
I just mailed ten this afternoon.
@Jeruba – Way to go! Some postal worker is blessing you right now.
no i think you covered all the basics.you might want to get some party favors for the kids though(if any is coming).
oh and happy birthday too.
