Dr. J = Futher mascot, the jelly with glasses in the header.
[mod says]=do what you’re told
You can find a wealth of information at the bottom of this page on the various links there.
Keep your eyes out for ‘pancakes’, ‘frizzer’, and a host of other inside jokes. When you have any questions about what you see, type the word in the search box at the top of the page, and it will help a lot.

pretty self explanatory
add yourself to your fluther.
We have these really cool awards.
We also have those lurvous greetings right after the user-name and before logging out.
Welcome to Fluther!
If you see an @ symbol before someone’s username, it means that you are addressing someone’s previous post.
For example: @FLRTHR
hey @FLRTHR , welcome to Fluther! Make sure you check out this link——->here for all your response styling needs
This question raises a great point…. there should be some type of “Fluther Glossary” for new members.
@buckyboy28 :: I agree. Maybe a Wiki so users could add stuff about inside jokes and how things work.
Metatfilter has one that is maintained by outside sources. Here is a list of site specific jokes there.
Fluther lingo is a myth. We don’t have any lingo here, as was discussed in this question. It’s them “tweeters” got all the lingo.
;-)
@FLRTHR welcome to fluther and GQ!!!! just one small piece of advice.. stay away from any and all inquiries having anything to do with the CIA… they WILL get you
I got here after the frizzer & pancakes stuff got started. And the CIA deal. Since I didn’t know what they meant, I felt left out & I almost didn’t stay here. There. I’ve said it.
@jbfletcherfan the only way to be excuded from the frizzer is to exclude yourself…
I however have for a while now thought of you as an integral part of the jelly community!
@jbfletcherfan I used to feel that way too, but it didn’t take me too long to catch on. I still feel that way about languages I don’t understand. There. I’ve said it, again.
@Dr_C & @YARNLADY…Thank you both. When I join something new, I get my feet wet just a little bit at a time. Some people come charging in here going full bore, but that’s not me. There’s still a lot of people here who don’t talk to me, so I just keep quiet. No pity party here…just the facts. So I was hoping to catch on by myself, & it didn’t work.
I threw something up here.. To be honest I don’t know how to use it yet. But if anyone wants to play they should be able to edit it.
@jbfletcherfan I felt the same way when I entered Fluther…so I lingered here whilst answering away on that other site you and I knew each other from. After I figured out who people were and read all of the Hall Of Fame questions, I got Fluther completely.
@SpatzieLover You mean there’s another site besides this one?? ’-) One good thing that place did was hook me up with so many good friends.
