A shout out to all the flutherites.
Happy Halloween.
I’m “probably” staying at home and watch scary movies. Maybe I’ll go trick-or-treating with my babysister and dress up as a potatoe. I want candies.
What are you going to dress up as?
Are you doing anything interesting?

Mourning the death (and mummification of) Dr. J.
I’m going grocery shopping, and then spending the rest of the day relaxing.
Extra lurve. It took me a while to get it.
I still don’t have a costume! but I’m going to get wasted anyway.
I just noticed this, but is the fluther jellyfish dressed up as a mummy?
I’m going to eat apple cider donuts and watch Fear Itself DVDs.
Scary movies! Well, mostly not scary as much as silly MST3K horror movies, but still ^_^
Study, study, study for Midterms, and the beisbol from Philadelphia if it isn’t rained out.
Watch the Michael Myers movie. Make candied apples. Carve a pumpkin annnd… not so sure what else :P
It’s raining, so that puts a damper on the day.
I still need to get pumpkins to carve. My son wanted to put his costume on and has been wearing it all day, but he was tragically forced to take it off for nap time.
Here’s my son as Thomas the Tank Engine and keeps walking around saying “I’m the conductor, all aboard!” haha.
We’re carving pumpkins and trick or treating with my sons cousin, and sister and law tonight. It should be fun. I just hope the rain lets up.
I’m Fluthering at work and since I’m in the military, I’m in costume too….kind of. The loaded weapons and law enforcement gear enhance things nicely. In commemoration of Halloween, I’m going to watch a couple of scary movies inbetween any crises that might arise during my duty day.
Happy Halloween everyone!
going home and watching Halloween 1–5, including 3… The Exorcist, Pet Semetary… whatever other horror I have.
Working 15hrs straight or else I would have dressed up as Gomez Addams.
a friend is having a party. really boring but betterr than stayin home.
We still have four pumpkins to carve, I’m taking my daughter trick or treating tonight, then we’ll come home and watch scary movies, drink beer and eat some candy.
Handing out candy to the trick or treaters and then watching “Sleepy Hollow” with Johnny Depp.
Well I won’t be with Johnny Depp, I wish!
but, I mean the Sleepy Hollow movie with Johnny Depp.
I might take my grandson to the mall for their annual trick or treat. I’m thinking maybe he’s too young for such a big crowd, though.
We carved our pumpkins today—three of them. We used a Dremel tool which made the job much faster. I’m waiting to take pictures of them once it’s dark and they are lit up. We have a spider, a horse, and a dragon. Why, oh why, can my kids never just ask for cute jack-o-lantern faces?!
I also took my son to a Halloween-themed birthday party. All the kids were in costume, and he had a lot of fun. He also ate a lot of candy and has been wired ever since. I’m rather looking forward to the crash.
Besides doing laundry, clearing the leaves off the deck, and straightening up the house, we got the kids started on raking the leaves into a big pile for jumping in. Took a lot of funny pictures, and right now my son is totally buried in the leaves and waiting for me to come find him. I wonder how long he’ll wait? My daughter decided the leaf pile should be under a tree, so they are climbing the tree and then jumping into the leaves below. It’s 70 degrees here today, and I really can’t wait to see how many ticks the kids have on them when they come inside.
Next on the agenda is dinner, then trick-or-treating. This year we have an Anakin Skywalker, a Batman, and a Cleopatra. Then we throw the kids in bed, watch the most recent Dexter, have a martini, and call it a night!
today we took the kids to the park for a very exciting Haunted Walk
tomorrow we’re taking them to Boo at the Zoo
Happy Halloween!
We are probably just going to relax. There is a Dia de Los Muertos celebration in town and we were thinking of going to that. But I’m not sure if hubby will get off work in time to go or not. We don’t have candy this year either :( but we rarely get trick-or-treaters on our road anyhow even though we live across the street from a park..
I think if hubby gets home late we are going to go for an old fashioned “cruise”. We are going to check out the Halloween pumpkins and all the costumes of people walking down the streets.
@wilma When your done with him can you send him this way?
@RedPowerLady if I had him, I wouldn’t be sending him anyplace real soon…
@wilma ROFL, 1,000 lurve to you
Just had a fab party with the family, bobbing for apples, donut ring games, hunt the sweets, pumpkin carving, hot dogs and home made pumpkin soup. Then on to local fireworks display!! Loads of fun and laughter was had by all. Thanks to my wonderful family :)
@sakura I’ve always wanted to bob for apples but never been to a party that had that as a game. Sounds like you had a blast!
It’s not raining this year like it was last year, so I’m going out to Scared Stiff on Radcliffe. It’s a street party basically. The after that’s over, or once the cops shut it down, a bunch of friends and myself are going to a house party at another friend’s house.
Sonny and his wife just stopped by to take grandson to the mall, so I’m just sitting here, drinking a glass of wine and waiting for the first trick or treater.
Doing the yard haunt, handing out candy to the kiddies (just finished, actually) and if you look at my avatar, you’ll see my costume. I love scary clowns.
looks like I’m going to fall asleep during Halloween 3.. managed to fit in 1, 2, and The Exorcist though. 4 and 5 probably won’t happen. lol
I sat on my arse and knitted on a shrug and then a scarf I’m making for a coworker for Christmas. It was beautiful outside, so the kids rode bikes and went to the park with the neighbor kids. When they came back we watched a couple episodes of A Haunting on TV. Then they took baths, ate a little something and got dressed for Halloween. It was a nice, quiet Saturday.
@Psychedelic_Zebra—Argh! Your clown suit is frightening. I have a totally irrational fear of clowns. There was a scary clown at the Haunted House we took the kids too, it kept getting close to my face and looking at me and I told it to “Get the EFF away from me” I’ll admit I was a little ashamed to have said that in front of my kids, but I couldn’t help it, I was fixin’ to run away!
@knitfroggy the neighbors across the street had a party and invited me over. The guy’s wife has a major fear of clowns. When I got across the road, she was already in the house, hiding under the bed. I left after I realized she wasn’t coming out.
@Psychedelic_Zebra I can’t say I blame her, no offense! When we first saw the clown my daughter said what are you gonna do if it comes over here? She was already laughing because she knows of my fear. I told her, I’m gonna kick him where it counts! Of course, this doubled her over with laughter. She’s almost 10 so it doesn’t take much…Then I didn’t kick him, just cussed him. I dunno which would have been better. :)
@Psychedelic_Zebra I used to be afraid of clowns when I was a child, because I could sense they were pedophiles. However, I have learned there are things far worse than clowns.
I had to work alone all day in the takeaway section of the Outback where I work. However, I dressed as Harry Potter, and tons of people complimented my costume, so it made it worth while!
My boyfriend and I had to drive for 8 hours to collect something! Not very halloweeny but I’m ALWAYS up for a road trip!!!
I went trick-or-treating and it was fun! :)
I got sooo much candy,it overfilled my bag! I’m eating some now.:)
Omg! I went into a haunted garage and my mom pushed me inside.=/ It was soo scary! There was a clown behind me and i was soo scared I almost fainted! LOL! Good times…
Went in to the city to see a play and walked around the Village before and after; costumed people watching. Definitely more fun and festive than answering the door all night at home.
If all clowns are pedophiles, then that means all politicians are honest.
and now I’m finishing up 4 and 5 while I wait for my last load of laundry to be dry lol
@Psychedelic_Zebra Good one, the clowns I refer to were on the circus circuit in the 1950’s.
@YARNLADY I wasn’t alive in the fifties, but it seems there were some great things I missed out on, perhaps with the exception of pedophile clowns. =)
Halloween night I watched The Devil’s Rejects.
Here’s a quote from the meanest clown that side of the Mississippi:
Captain J.T. Spaulding: What’s the matter, kid? Don’t ya like clowns?
Jamie: [shakes head crying]
Captain J.T. Spaulding: Why? Don’t we make ya laugh? Aren’t we fuckin’ funny? You best come up with an answer, cos I’m gonna come back here and check on you and your momma and if you ain’t got a reason why you hate clowns, I’m gonna kill your whole fucking family.
Jamie: [continues crying]
Captain J.T. Spaulding: All right, now get your fuckin’ ass out the car, go on yayayayayaya
[starts laughing]
