Keep a samba share mounted in Fedora 11?

Asked by Babbage (101points) November 1st, 2009

I have a samba share mounted on my system that seems works at first, but if there is no access to it for a couple of days, the share will disappear. I manually mount the share like so:

/sbin/mount.cifs //127.0.0.1/MP3\‘s /mnt/ro_mp3/ -o user=Username

In my samba log, I get the following message (presumably when the share disconnects):

__ffff_127.0.0.1 (::ffff:127.0.0.1) closed connection to service MP3’s

To the question: How can I keep this share from unmounting?

Does the share disappear because you are shutting down one of the computers? Or does it just do it by itself?

The mount disappears on its own, usually if we haven’t accessed anything on it for a day or two.
