Can we convert pdf to rtf and txt, and how?

There are online converters out there that do that, here’s a program. Also this one that should do more file types.

Ahh here’s what you should be looking for, an online converter that sends the converted file to your email for download.

I think you can just copy the text in the pdf and then paste into a blank rtf. I don’t have anything handy to try so you will have to give it a go.

I’ve tried a number of different pdf->something solutions, but the results can be pretty crappy, depending on the PDF file. If the PDF file has no sidebar text, graphics or enlarged first letters each chapter, pretty much any application you find online will do the trick well enough. If your PDF file has the things I just mentioned, forget about it.

Believe me, I’ve tested much of what’s out there in trying to convert PDF’s to files readable on my Sony Reader device.
