What if "they" are really coming?

I’d try to be nice and be as welcoming as possible. They have come from many lightyears away.

It depends.
Where are they showing up? In front of me? In another state?
My answer would be REALLY long if I had to explain each scenario.

There’s hardly anything to do, you don’t know whats going to happen, whether their hostel, funny looking, or just an abused space slave ship looking for a friendly planet.

I would like to say I would handle it well, be calm and welcoming… but I would freak the hell out. Curiosity would surely kick in at some point because I find the possibility fascinating, but I know that would be my initial reaction. I would worry about what it meant for my daughter’s future.

I will get in my fully stocked suv, with lots of firepower and ammo, and food, and scram out to the desert and wait it out. It will be a big huge freak out. It will turn the religeous right upside down. what if the national guard is deployed? I’ll sit out there eating my mre’s and listening to my hand cranker radio till have an idea of how it’s playing out- I’d give a good while before I returned to civilization

I think it would be awesome. If they made it here, their technology would have to be eons more advanced then ours. It would be interesting to learn from them no doubt.

Unless of course, they wanted to enslave us…

I’d wonder which human force(s) were faking or manipulating it, and how. Not because I think alien contact is impossible… Just that Occam’s Razor suggests that the mostly likely explanation (until there’s hardcore proof otherwise) is that it isn’t “really” aliens, but rather someone wanting us to think it’s aliens…
