Question for the ladies: what is your height cut-off for potential boyfriends?
Pretty much as simple as that. Would also be interested in why you have chosen your selected threshold.

6’5” ‘tis my husband’s height
6 feet and over because I like tall men. But my babe is about 5’10— 5’11
I have dated guys from 5’ 4” to 6’ 6” and settled happily for 5’ 10”. I am 5’ 8” tall and have to either stoop too much or stand on a stool for my goodnight kiss. Hence, I prefer height equivalency in my relationships. Besides, he wears the same size shirts I do so I can steal his really cool ones.
I prefer dating men who are taller than me. (I’m only 5’1 so a guy shorter than that would be freakishly short.)
what are we all thinking hope-wise for a guy who is 5’6” (not me of course :)
My last bf was 5“6” and I’m 5“3”, I prefer them taller than me.
Cut off? I never had one.
I have no cut-off point. That would just be silly.
I used to have a must be 5 foot 11 inches or taller. I have dated guys as tall as 6 foot 7 inches. Although now I like guys 5 foot 8 and taller, because it just makes more sense.
I’m 5 feet tall. He MUST be taller than me. Period.
Actually, what one friend used to say when she was dating a very short man was that his height standing up didn’t matter because his height lying down was greater that that of all the other guys she knew.
@Darwin That never made much sense to me. I mean, I get it. But still, height standing up does matter (to me)
It has to do with sex. And overcompensation.
I never had one. I’m almost 5’8” and have dated much taller and considerably shorter men. I prefer a taller man, all other things being equal, but height alone isn’t really an issue.
There is no dwarf love here. :(
@MacBean I woulda been open to that if I knew a little person and he had a fab personality. I, however, only knew “short guys” with a height complex.
I can’t reach stuff, my feet are screwed up so I can’t jump… I’ve got enough short for two.
@avvooooooo I stretch, do yoga & leap on the counters ;P I hate not being able to se stuff everyone else sees!
I have no cutoff. I’ve dated people who were 6’5” and hubbs is about 5’3”. I don’t need to feel ‘tiny and feminine’ nor do I care if someone is shorter than me when I wear my killer heels. It just doesn’t matter to me. They do have to have a great laugh though.
I prefer tall man, anyone 5’11 and up is acceptable.
@avvooooooo Hell I just take stuff and toss until things fall. My mom is 5’1.5” and is a great climber of store shelving! She’s like a little monkey!!!
@gemiwing lol…tiny and feminine…that’s what I am for the most part (and pictured myself as being in a relationship) and yet my boyfriend is only a little bit taller than me and only 12 days older than me. Interesting.
i’m 5’1” so please taller than that.
@DominicX well when you’re built like an amazon (me) it’s a tough road to learn to love yourself. Hell, we’re all awesome. I mean we’re jellies, it can’t get much better than that!
I’ve dated 5’5” to 6’3”. I am 5’ 6” and find that 5’10”-6’0” is the most comfortable or smooching and other physical activities, but I would never set a “cut-off” limit.
I’m 5’ 1” and would prefer “him” to be a couple of inches taller than I am. However, my husband is 5’ 11” and I like being able to say, “Come here and be tall.” I dated a guy who is 6’ 4” and that just felt too tall to me. Even sitting next to him on the couch felt awkward.
After a certain point, its just UP, itin’it @tedibear39? :D
I have never dated anyone shorter than me, but at 5’1 and a half, that would certainly be one short guy! I don’t really seem to have a height cut-off- I’ve dated guys from 5’5” to 6’2”. My current boyfriend is the shortest, at 5’5”. I think in high school, I was more apt to date taller guys and they seem to have gotten shorter as time goes on.
The taller the better. I’m 5’7 and wear heels regularly. I can’t date a short man.
When I was dating the 5’ 4” guy, he loved it when I wore my towering platform heels that were so popular back then. It made no difference really to me.
My man may be shorter than me, but he still has those amazing broad shoulders which mean more to me than height lol
My ex-husband and I are the exact same height in bare feet, so whenever I wore heels I towered over him. Neither of us ever minded. I did wear ballet shoes for our wedding, though. I didn’t want to be taller than him in the pictures. Weird, right?
@augustlan Not weird. I wore maybe an inch sized heel for my wedding, but my fear wasn’t the pictures…it was tripping! I rarely wear heels anymore and I needed some that I knew I could walk in haha.
@tedibear39 Teehee… I can see you with rope and stuff… :D
At least my same height.. so it would be 5’7”
