Why do my "questions for you" keep refreshing and deleting?

I had a weird glitch this AM that wouldn’t allow me to submit answers or questions. I went to the chat room and while I was dicussing my issue, it “magically” was fixed.

Maybe the little elves creating all these new awards are doing something else that’s causing your glitch.

Apparently the server was running really slowly, so they made some adjustments to get rid of old questions in the activity queues. I mean, they still exist on the site, just not in our activity.

@augustlan Twice in a day? I was sad, I was going to get to several of those when I got bored… But its been a very un-boring day on fluther.

@avvooooooo This is actually a new feature: every day we remove questions for you that already have plenty of answers. That way less build up, and your energy goes to the people who need it.

Please let us know if you don’t like this. We never realized that people have been purposely “keeping” questions for later use.

@ben Every so often I’ll go on a removing binge, but even when there are a bunch of answers there’s still something you can contribute or learn…

I really hate the “Questions for you” thing, I hope they make an option to disable it.

@Samurai I just ignore it until I get bored. But that’s when I go digging and find things that are interesting.

I wanted to see how many I could get in the “Questions for you” pile as I could.

@Samurai 100 GA’s to you. I hate that feature, too. I’d just rather go through the new questions & let that be it. I resent that they presume to guess that I’m interested in. This has been an issue for me all along. Let ME pick what I want to answer. It’s a PIA. Granted, I just delete them, but it’s still a BIG annoyance.

I actually like signing onto Fluther and seeing that I have some questions waiting for me and it is easier for me to go straight to the ‘Questions for you’ link rather than sifting through the multitude of queries in the new question list.

I might be one of the few who still like this feature so I’m going to keep a low profile now and avoid as much scorn as I can.

I noticed it lists them all now, and not doing ten per page..interesting.

I REALLY, REALLY HATE THE NEW SYSTEM!!!!

I feel like I’m missing things I would be interested in, that I have to sit on top of it, I don’t have the option of going back in a little bit when I have more time…. IT SUCKS.

For people who don’t use it, its fine. But for people who do use it, its turned from a cool and helpful feature to one that stresses me because I don’t want to miss something just because it got enough answers. There are discussions that I feel like I’ll be missing that I am interested in or that I want to go back to later or that I had something to contribute to but am not able to.

It also keeps suggesting things I already clicked on/commented on… :P
