How do authors get their books made into applications for iPod and iPhone? I would prefer the easiest route as it is for my Aunt and I really do not have the time to learn to program via SDK.
Is an application template available somewhere?
Any rough ideas on costs to have a programmer do this?
Any ideas at all?

I don’t have the answer but I did find this book: ePublish: Self-Publish Fast and Profitably for Kindle, iPhone… Perhaps it can help? Isbn 0977240657
Go to one of the hire-a-programmer sites (Elance, for example. Google, “Freelance programming”), post a job and see what people will do it for. The lowest price may not be realistic, but it will give you something to take to your aunt so you can assess reasonableness of her level of commitment. If the money is too much on elance, it isn’t worth your time either. People will use a reousrce if its free far, far more than one they have to pay a price for.
My son is currently freelancing, programming apps for iPhones. If you like, pm me and I’ll see if he is interested in the job or knows how to do it.
Since the iphone has a kindle reader, all you have to do is get the ebook on Amazon.com and kindle users and iphone users would be able to download it.
