I would check reviews on cnet.com, I’m a big fan of the Sony Cybershot. If you shop around you can find one for less than $200.
Oh, I would definitely buy a trusted/authoritative magazine that reviews digital cameras to help me decide.
fuji f45 if its still on the market
I’m not sure of exact models, but Canon and Nikon are good brands. And you can get not-so-new ones for cheapish.
Any Canon Powershot under $200. Canon makes the best digital cameras, pretty much. I just bought a 10mp Canon Powershot for $179 today.
I would have to also say a cannon. I’ve currently got a cannon picks and it takes the most fantastic pictures! Clear, focused, good flash (doesn’t wash out pols faces) cool functions and features, and natural/realistic colours (unlike some that I’ve seen which give ppl a blue or orange tint.) I got one cause my friend had one and I was so impressed with the pic quality. After that another friend got one after seeing mine etc etc… Most of my friends now own cannons! :-)
