How do I get my touchpad scroll and double click to work again?

I have a dell Inspiron 1525. With windows 7.
Recently, I had to use system restore (mightve been before that..just never noticed), and after that, I was unable to use my touch pad to scroll, and use the two buttons together to click a link to a new tab.
How do I get it back?

You might be able to undo the restore with system restore by selecting the system restore that has the word “undo” in the title.
Example: “11/6/2009 6:32:38 PM Undo: Restore Operation”
There is not a way to “undo” system restore
You will need to reinstall the drivers somehow then I suppose.
I was looking at the Alps Glidepoint/stickpointer driver…but none of them on the dell website are compatible with windows 7.
Is the touch pad’s scrolling and double clicking only a problem in Firefox? Does it work fine elsewhere?
I dont have firefox…
It doesnt work in either of my browsers, IE, and chrome.
I would have recommended this if that was the case. You might consider uninstalling your current drivers then installing synaptic touch pad drivers instead. I don’t think I know of anything more that could possibly help you.
Did you install windows 7 on it yourself? If so then the install / system restore may have messed with it. Reinstalling the drivers should fix this. Even if the website doesn’t list windows 7 drivers just install Vista or XP ones. Did the computer come with restore disks with the drivers on them? Most laptops do so they should be on those disks

^ Yeah your touchpad might have just been turned off.
So, I started with Vista. Then, the day before (still with vista), i had problems with it, so had to use system restore. Thats when i noticed the touchpad wasnt working. Then, fed up with vista, i upgraded to windows 7. and the touchpad doesnt work still. :/
