I really like Basecamp. It represents the simplicity and user-centeredness that we have come to expect of 2.0, and its founders are among the leading proponents of the drive toward a more intuitive web experience.

I’ll let you know when I upgrade my interwebs to 2.0 from 1.39.22 r35 RC 3 beta. But I’m placing my bets on Geocities.

SixDegrees.com—the social network before the term “social network” was invented.

it was web 2.0 during web 1.0 (1997 – 2001.)

It was also the reason i told my college roommate that building a similar website would be a waste of time (d’oh!)

Digg.com is pretty much the definition of Web 2.0 at the moment.

Flickr and Ma.gnolia are 2 of my favourites. I also use LinkedIn for professional networking.

It’s all about Netvibes, bringing all web content together in one convenient page!

I’d say Facebook turned out to become the worst fiasco Web 2.0 app so far, with too many app plugins and high traffic loads. It’s just a lucky coincidence if you manage to reach your own profile these days.

Here’s a pretty lofi Web 2.0 app. But it’s a fresh take on the music side of things, on the Internet.
