In seriousness, just spend a while looking around at unsigned bands on myspace – if you decided to use someones song in your film, im sure they will gladly give permission.

Does your film school give you access to the DeWolfe music? If so, they categorize all of their (royalty-free) music and you’re bound to find something you’re looking for. You also may want to seek out music majors on campus who can compose something for you.
