I have a whole roll of register tape sitting here. My older brother got it a few years ago from his job and gave it to me, but I still can’t think of anything to do with it. Any ideas?

Wrap your Christmas presents with it. It might be tedious but you could do some neat things. Color it and use it for a ribbon too.
You can make a holiday wreath… :D
Scribble all over it, use a ribbon shredder but make it into loops and make it wreath-like.
paper mache?
I know it’s spelled incorrectly but I do not have the ambition to go looking for my accent marks.
@Beta_Orionis: I sort of mulled that over in my head, and I wasn’t sure if it was necessary, or just this side of pretentious. Sort of like people that say “foy-yay” instead of “foyer” :D
@poofandmook I thought that was the case and I was just teasing, but faux-yur just sounds silly!
@sarah826 You could keep it and tear off appropriate lengths when you need a pocket-sized checklist, grocery list, brainstorm, etc.
Cut into 1 inch wide by 4 inch long strips.
Coat with butter, sprinkle with sugar.
Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for 15 min.
Take out, let cool.
Throw in trash.
Origami? You could fold it into those accordion streamer-type things. first link I found. Make the world’s longest paper snowflake. Mulch it in a food processor and make paper from it. Weave it. Knit it? Wallpaper a room with it.
thing is, it’s that weird texture. you can’t write on it.
As suggested in the video link above, you could use it for a mummy wrapping party, or cut 4” to 6” lengths, add a strip of colored duct tape across the top and bottom for book marks.
Cut in 12” lengths and weave a set of placemats. Cut in 12” lengths and use as clothes hanger covers, put the hanger head through a small hole in the center, and staple or tape at both ends. Use for package stuffing instead of those awful peanuts.
Skip the sharpie. Use your fingernail (like they do at the supermarket to circle your total or where to sign). Handy dandy. No pen needed.
