Of all the areas in all the states... Which would you consider to be most European?

Never been to Europe, so i couldn’t answer that honestly, but party wise i would say Cali or Florida..

You might find some useful answers here, though that question includes all of North America.

California is like Italy in terms of the similar climate, wine growing, beautiful beaches, and similar-looking geography. Solvang, California, is a little Danish-style town that’s meant to look like one.

Massachusetts is like England with the names of all the places and I think the climate is pretty similar. (It is part of New England, after all).

Minnesota is like Finland because they’re both flat and freezing.

They speak French in Louisiana…

Edit: Quebec, Canada, is very French-like. Not just that they speak French there, but a lot of the architecture is similar to French architecture.

I’ve heard that Toronto Canada is considered very European, but never having been there, I couldn’t say for sure.

I will accept all of North America as a continent.

The North Cascades in Washington are very much like the Alps in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. And some parts of the foothills are like Bavaria. Both are so beautiful. Also, as @JLeslie pointed out, the Canadian Rockies around Banff are as well.

There are a lot of things to compare, it’s just a vague question. no harm done!

What makes Europe so different than America is that European nations have many neighboring countries. Proximity necessitates European nations be more accepting of cultural differences. America only has Mexico and Canada as neighboring countries and most Americans never have to deal with either of those nations on a daily basis. The isolation from other nations creates a more insular culture.

@DominicX massachusetts is sadly not like europe whatsoever. unless we’re talking about sweden’s winter weather.

culturally, i’d say new york city. weather-wise.. well, different areas correlate to other different areas. pittsburgh is similar to germany, whereas northern virginia can be similar to spain.

When I’m in New Orleans, which is quite often, it feels like another country.

I’ve traveled to about 40 US states. Well, in some ways maybe Minnesota. I also found Boston to be a bit like a European city.
