Homemade ice cream with limited ingredients?

Hey Fluther, I have some half and half left over from when I made fondue a couple days ago and I’m trying to figure out what I should do with it. Homemade ice cream sounds good, but I’m not willing to go out and buy more ingredients. Here’s what I have in my pantry that looks like it might be a contribution:
Half and half
Sugar
Kosher Salt
Imitation Vanilla
Eggs
Milk (~1/8 of a gallon)
Does anyone have any idea how I should put these together to get a decent dessert? I’ve never made homemade ice cream before, so if you could walk me through the steps, that would be nice. :)

Awesome. Think I could throw the half and half in there without any dire consequences?
Here are two recipes that are very basic: one and two. If you are old enough and/or drink liqeur, David Lebovitz has a super easy recipe using Bailey’s (or similar).
Super easy (in 2 ziploc bags) ice cream: link.
Finally, if you don’t have an ice cream maker, see step 13 of these instructions. (mm…sea salt ice cream!)

I’ve made ice cream using the recipe @gemiwing linked to. Half and half in a bag with sugar. (That’s all you really need.) Instead of using a second bag it’s cool if you can find a coffee tin. Put the bag with the ingredients in the tin and surround with ice and salt. Then instead of shaking bags for an hour (with regular salt it will take an hour for a half cup of ice cream) you can just roll the thing across the floor.
For the record, I’m currently enjoying delicious zip-lock baggie ice cream made with half and half instead of milk. :)
