House Wedding Attire for Guest?

Asked by Dominos (1points) November 18th, 2009

I’ll be attending a house wedding and would like to dress appropriate. The time of the wedding is 12 midnite. Any suggestions?

The invitation should include expected attire. If they didn’t state it you should call and find out.

you didn’t state what gender you are, but moderately formal attire- dress just above the knee, heels. pearls or appropriate jewelry. Its a wedding so no party clothes. If you are a man, slacks, nice sportjacket, nice button down oxford shirt if you don’t like ties. dress shoes.

Midnight? I’d be in my pajamas at home, and send a gift. lol

The fact that the wedding is at midnight makes me think that there might be a theme… Is it a theme wedding? oh, i hope so…

Is it a vampire wedding? midnight? That might make a difference.

The midnight wedding idea sounds kind of freaking cool. I’m picturing a quirky goth couple.
My dad and stepmom had their wedding at the house. The dress was about the same as a nice family gathering like Christmas or Thanksgiving. The guests wore wither “dressy casual” or semiformal.

You can usually judge how formal an event will be by how formal the invitations are.

Will they serve breakfast in the wee hours. My sister-in-law served dinner at 11:00pm and then breakfast at 5:00am. I wish I had been part of the family for that wedding.

You can go there for enjoying and attending their happiness. Weddings are very special moments of life of the couple.
