I just contacted three Democrat senators who are holding up discussion of the Health Care Bill. What else can I do to make them understand how important this is?

To me, not allowing discussion is as bad as anything we can do in the country. I sent them my opinions: Blanche Lincoln-202–224-4843; Mary Landrieu: landrieu.senate.gov.contact/index.cfm; bennelson.senate.gov/email-issues.cfm.
I do not live in their states, but do live in the United States and as citizen, I want my Senate to allow conversation of the Health Bill on the floor of the Senate.

Hmm typically politicians are only concerned about letters from their own constituents. But, I give you an A for effort.

[Mod Says:] Reminder: The question is what can a citizen do to help facilitate the discussion of the health care bill. Off-topic remarks will be removed.
I did not know that we could contact reps outside of our own state! Great idea!
What states are they from again? Possibly we could enlist the help of Flutherites who are constituents to help out?
Here is a further article about the subject.
Sen. Ben Nelson, Nebraska
Sen Mary Landrieu, Louisiana
Sen Blanche Lincoln, Arkansas
Think of yourself as a drop of water, almost powerless by yourself but in combination with all the other drops you can shatter the strongest stone. Email Senator Reed and tell him to piss or get off the pot. The Democratic leadership needs to lead now.
Wonder how much they’re getting paid to stonewall at this point? This makes me incredibly angry. Post it on facebook, tumblr, email your friends and relatives, and count me in.
Do you think that our reps have any idea how frustrated we are?
It’s on my facebook account.
My thought is that the Senators who hold this up, in the name of their constituents,
might as well consider themselves unelected next term. If they stonewall, they will earn the rancor of the Democrats, who I hope will help to fight their re-election by finding other good Democrats to run, etc. And if they pass it, they may lose because the conservative D’s they represent who might abandon them. They are lost. So let them do the right thing, and see where that gets them.
Just tell them we need the same health care they will receive no matter what.
I have read that information travels all over the country when you put it on twitter or one of the other social networks. Maybe you could urge your friends to “pass it on”.
