Could you recommend any music for me to listen to?

Asked by ShanEnri (4429points) November 18th, 2009

I love all kinds of music and would love to hear some of your recommendations for something I could listen to! I really like music with a beat. I really don’t like slow music, but will listen to it! I like heavy metal, techno, trance, 70’s & 80’s, dance…you get the picture. Just looking for something different really!

The three bands that I’m really into right now are Muse (I highly recommend the new CD “Uprising”), The Decemberists, and Blind Pilot.

Check ‘em out. You won’t be disappointed.

But really, Relient K is my top right now.

You should check out www.pandora.com On this site, you tell them a song or group you like, and they play other songs like that. It’s a nice way to explore new music for free.

Sonata Arctica, Muse, and The Gathering post 1994

I didn’t get into these bands straight away, and they took around a year so I’m not sure if you have that much patience :p.

The Arctic Monkeys have really good upbeat songs. And one of their videos features cops fighting clowns. What more could you want?

The Decemberists. There are lots of good suggestions here, but if I could only pick one to recommend, it’d be them.
