How do I make Windows Media Player 12 work and feel like Windows Media Player 9?

I just installed Windows 7. Sadly, that meant my copy of WMP 9 was replaced with 12 and I am HATING this new interface. I want to go back to how it worked in WMP9.
Is it possible to make 12 work and feel like 9? Or is there an alternative that works and feels like 9?
