Mac Notebook display all of a sudden switched to black and red only?

When the laptop starts the screen come up normally and then switches to these crippling colors. What can I do?

Try pressing “Control+Option+Command+8”. i think you might have accidentally inverted the colors on your screen.

Or system preferences/Universal Access and make sure the option to invert the screen colors is disabled (there’s a button for this) under “seeing” tab.
