What do you think about the new revealed Google Chrome OS?
Yesterday the revealed Google Chrome OS.And they showed(and said) some interesting things that for me seem totally different than any other OS-es made before. The Google boys imagined a near future where computers will look and act different. Most important the OS-es will transform into browsers and compute will take place only on the internet, and data storage won’t be necessary anymore, the boot-time will be much more shorten that today and other futuristic things. And something that I’m confused about is what will happen with the viruses. If everyone will be on the cloud what will be left for viruses to destroy? What do you think about this changes, how do you think the world will change if what Google imagined will happen?

It is a good first attempt by google.
Needs a lot of work, but they did say it wasn’t done yet.
Well, the OS is designed mainly for Netbooks and people who spend most of their time on the internet. Personally, I don’t think I would like it because I don’t want to have to rely on an internet connection to do anything and everything. What happens when the server is down? Then you’re screwed.
Seeing as how I never saw Google Chrome as being that great, I doubt I’ll see this as being that great either.
I think it’s a natural progression, with most of our work living in the cloud and our access to our work happening from a wide variety of devices and locations.
It sounds really clean and nofrillsfast. However I cannot give up my FF addons/extensions.
