What is the best solution to get rid of glare on a high def TV WITHOUT degrading picture quality?
pretty self explanitory i guess. my dad just bought a 47” 1080p tv for $270 and is putting our old tv back because he hates that he can see the room reflection in the screen. so instead of moving the lights, or finding a way to fix it….he takes the tv down. i’m hoping there is a way toget rid of the glare (a film, cover, etc.) that can do the job. anyone know? i saw one product that’s a spray, but it is said to degrade HD pic quality. i MUST convince him to keep this tv!! lol thanks guys!

Turn off the lights, cover the windows
If you are buying a screen that will be viewed under light, it is important to buy a matte screen rather than a glossy screen. I know your tv has already been purchased, but this a a good teaching moment for future purchases.
@arpinum. we bought the tv because it was 47” 1080p for $270. that is $1200 cheaper than it should be lol. we couldn’t pass that up.
yeah, that’s a great deal on a TV….I wouldn’t spray anything on the TV, I’d simply move the lights, or pull some shades if needed.
Perhaps rearranging the furniture and modifying/filtering the ambient lighting in the room?
You can buy screen covers. Did you check your local electronics store? You need a TV screen FILTER
They’re cheap and adds extra protection, too.
Here’s one in the size you need
Windows at your back obviously will show up on screen. Elevating the TV and tilting down may eliminate reflections from overhead lights.
Look for things like that, move the TV around the room to find a position with minimal reflections.
