I had a similar problem not long back, have you got all your iPod tunes on your PC already? If so then this worked

1. Throw your iPod across the living room in a bad temper and shout ‘fucking useless piece of shit’
2. Pick up iPod and check it’s okay, then sigh a wee bit of relief
3. Connect it to iTunes and Restore it, this will wipe it but you can then reload all that stuff in your iTunes to it.

If it has stuff on it that isn’t on your PC then download iDump then import all them tunes into your iTunes then go back to stage 3 and just connect it but don’t restore it, just sync it !!

Best of luck !!

That happened to me once or twice…it depends on your ipod. I reset mine and tried again (I didn’t lose any info on it—I don’t know if I just got lucky with that).

that website will show you how to reset each kind of Ipod.
