What should the topic of my persuasive speech be?

I am to write a persuasive one minute speech on whatever I want.
I am at a stop in my creativity! The topic can be funny (like the need to wear socks with sandals…), or serious. anything really.
I was thinking having a hilarious topic would be a lot more fun to write about!

I am from Oakland, and JaMarcus Russell, the “quarterback” signed a six-year contract worth up to $68 million, with $31.5 million guaranteed, then shows up to training camp over 300 lbs. He plays like an idiot, and now has been benched as starter.
My speech was about whether the drinking age should remain at 21 in the US.
What about sarcasm 101, a new course to be given in colleges??
The only problem with that one is, I am not particularly good with sarcasm…
In my speech class in high school I delivered my persuasive speech on how a certain boy in my class should go out with me.
