What kind of Mac do you recommend?

1. If you need it to be mobile, a notebook. Else, a desktop.
2. One that fits your budget and the features you want the most.

That’s about all there is to it.

For school and general use they will all be fine as far as speed and storage space, etc.

Why don’t you set up a personal shopping session at an apple store near to you? It’s free, and they’ll sit down and go through what your needs are and the machines that might work for you.

If you’re looking to get a laptop, I would recommend the MacBook Pro. It has a better system than the MacBook. It’s a good idea to get it if you’re into gaming. not saying that the MacBook can’t do games

Hmmm.. A mac is so personal on so many levels and needs a great deal of thought prior to purchasing because of your needs, desires and personality. For my personality, i purchased a macbook pro because of its slim sexy design, robust frame and beautiful aesthetics. I also needed something that has some performance when playing my games on the go and when utilizing my portable office programs. You can even take that beauty a step further with the macbook air. Although not as robust as the pro, it is a sexy piece of machinery. If you are someone who needs complete raw power with no holding back you may want to invest in a Mac Pro.. better hope you can pony up 3000 for a decent model but it is a machine you will drool over for some time. If you are someone who is a little more conservative and just wants something economical that will have portability without the sticker shock I would recommend the Macbook (original). Very price conservative but the stats are not too bad! If i were to bank on a desktop for all seasons my favorite would defiantly be the imac. Mid-ranged price, sexy design, beautiful display, and very portable for a desktop computer! This would defiantly be my winner :-)
