I’ve started watching Carl Sagan’s Cosmos series (sorry non-US people, I know hulu links won’t work for you), and I really enjoy it.
I’m wondering what some other good shows are, out there. Not necessarily on the topics that Cosmos talks about, but other aspects of nature, the world, universe, life, etc.

Horizon on the BBC has a new topics every week on science and/or philosophy. A great show.
Miami Ink or LA Ink
both shows are about a team which makes tattoos. But not this is the most interesting thing. The great thing is the stories that people who get tattooed say.You hear very good life stories, you see different mentality and other amazing aspects of life. You also see how special are humans and what strenght do they have deep inside them.
Discovery Channel has a great series called “The Universe” that talks about the same subject matter. I also like “Planet Earth” and “Seas of Life”
Planet Earth is the most amazing thing ever.
Attenborough’s other stuff is also really good. Especially The Life of Mammals
BBC’s Connections with James Burke
I agree emphatically with @Qingu and @kruger_d. Anything with David Attenborough and Connections with James Burke.
Another vote for Connections with James Burke.
BBC has excellent documentaries.
I know I’m a bit late to this but since no one said: The Universe. A show on the History channel. It’s awesome.
@Parrappa – I said “The Universe”, it was the first thing I thought of, but that’s OK, some times it’s hard to see all the previous posts.
Carl Sagan’s Cosmos is to science as Sir Kenneth Clark’s Civilisation is to Art. Highly recommended.
@dalepetrie, Oh wow I’m sorry. I read through them all and didn’t see it, I must’ve just missed it.
