Are Tru Religion, 7 For All Mankind and other expensive jeans REALLY that much better quality?
Obviously these jeans run pretty pricey(Sometimes $200 +) and everyone I know who wears these jeans says “well that’s because they’re of much better quality than brand “X”. So is there anyone out there who knows if they’re really THAT much better quality than say a pair from American Eagle or even Tommy Hilfiger?

Not really. Up to a point some designer products are better designed and made than others (I find Calvin Klein underwear is pretty good, for example) but when you get down to it what you are mainly paying for is the name.
Actually, good, old-fashioned Levi’s 501’s are possibly the best-made jeans out there, with the exception of Wrangler. You are paying for means of telling the world that you have the ability to pay such high prices, so you can wear some brand name on your butt, to impress people who don’t matter in the long run.
The simple answer is no. Just about all of them come from the same factories in China and Thailand; you’re paying for the name on your ass.
Honestly, some of them are. I’ve bought a few pairs of those jeans and they’ve lasted me YEARS, unlike just some regular not so expensive jeans.
I only like Lucky’s. Heard about the jeans in question, people like them, religiously.
No. There is no way that they can be better quality than my $30 Levis. They last me for years and years.
I wouldn’t be caught dead in Jeans anyway!
Don’t judge until you’ve actually bought a pair.
I think it’s more about fit than quality of the material.
Some designer jeans are brand X jeans that have been worn for a couple of years to give them a distressed appearance.
I still have a pair of Levi’s from 1969. They are still in great condition (although they are much harder to button than they used to be). They were hardly expensive back then, and still aren’t today.
