Can you fix a crack in a leather couch?
I just bought a used red leather couch lol and unfortunately it has a semi large crack in the front of the couch but I liked it so much I thought I’d try and repair it. The couch is a 800 couch that I got for 50 due to the crack. What is the best way for me to fix this. There are small cracks around the large one but the large one is about a womans index finger and some of the mesh behind the leather shows through, is it hopeless?

They sell leather repair kits (they are usually AS SEEN ON TV, so they are probably crap), but you can usually find a local re-upholsterer who will be able to do a quality job for you. The only problem is that it could be a bit pricy, but it certainly beats buying a brand new sofa.
i feel like there may be some sort of putty on the market. and there’s always duct tape ;)
First determine what kind of leather your couch is made of and then purchase the correct repair product for it. There are some products that are very similar to melted leather, and will completely repair the cracks, if the leather you are repairing is really leather.
Read the instructions and the ingredients of the product before you buy. Ask at your local leather furniture supply store.
If you have some time on your hands this might help.
