Do you use one of the charity search engines?

Asked by YARNLADY (46619points) November 25th, 2009

There are around a dozen search engines that will donate to your favorite for every search you make. Do you use one? If no, why not? My favorite is the Yahoo sponsored Goodsearch.com

I use www.thehungersite.com as a home page. It donates food every time you click. Check it out.

@SeventhSense Yes, I visit there every day and I also visit http://www.freerice.com/ frequently to play their games and help feed the poor. With this question, I’m asking specifically about the charity search engines.

I use the same one as @SeventhSense , but use the animalrescuesite.com tab daily. All good sites.

I wasn’t aware of any. I think I’ll start using Goodsearch.com now though. :)

@YARNLADY
Freerice.com is the bomb for us wordies. Where else can you find out that sclaff is a bad golf stroke.

@SeventhSense I want to warn other Fluthers that Freerice.com is very addicting, but it’s worth it.

do these sites really donate the things they claim to? if they do, this is the best concept ever!!

Yes, I would suggest you only use the trusted ones (see snopes.com), but they do indeed donate to your favorite charity.
