The Gods Must Be Crazy My kids really don’t get the joke about rhinos and fires.
And Big Trouble in Little China plus anything with Bruce Lee in it. My kids really think I’m nuts to watch those, but then they like Jackie Chan movies.
Oooh, ooh! And both Conan movies, especially the second one. The continuity problems and the accents are just sooooo good.
The Transporter. I just like watching Jason Statham’s body. Whoo!
A number of my high school friends would rip on Darkman. I thought Darkman was quite good for a comic book film. (Checks Rottentomatoes and finds Darkman is actually rated fairly highly, so there!)
I find that a lot of people really just don’t get movies like Repo! The Genetic Opera, Cannibal! The Musical, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I love ‘em.
Velvet Goldmine, hahah Watching my two straight guy friends watch it with me the other night was wonderful.
With the risk of losing all respect from my fellow fluther friends, Twilight. I know. It’s pretty bad…
@MacBean oh it was fantastic. If looks could kill…
Moulin Rouge – Most people thought it to be an obnoxious mess, but I love it, love it, love it.
@MacBean I love Rocky Horror! But damn I haven’t seen it in foreverrrrr.
One of my all-time favorite movies is Son in Law. I know many people hate Pauly Shore but I find him very funny.
Oh, Pauly Shore. LULZ. That reminds me, I love Bio-Dome. Also, The Pest with John Leguizamo. Awful movies. <333
I love Excess Baggage but would never tell anyone that. I think Benicio del Toro’s performance is pure genius.
Darkman definately takes the cake as the worst movie ever made.
@MacBean I would have said Rocky Horror, but the first half of it is really good, so it didn’t seem to meet the criterion of being a bad movie. And its a musical with some really catchy tunes.
Let’s do the Time Warp again…
@jamielynn2328 I love Moulin Rouge too. The only people who think its horrible are those who don’t get musicals and those who have no clue of the history of the thing.
i really like battlefield earth and army of darkness
I like the Tomb Raider movies, Constantine and Scooby Doo (the first one).
I’m a fan of fun popcorn movies, less so of thought-provoking, depressing “dramas”.
@MacBean Oh ya BioDome and many others, haha. I just think the guy is funny. I don’t know what that says about my sense of humor.
Weekend At Bernies
yeah… I whispered that
@ItalianPrincess1217 Nope! Not by a long shot! There are other, low-profile thinking adults who enjoy it. Because when you really get down to it… The vamps are hot! Not to mention the wolf boys!
Actually, thanks to the editing requirements of turning books into film, the Twilight movies are better than the books. However, since I really dislike the books that isn’t saying a huge amount.
Red Sonja.
T_T
And… The Cutting Edge.
Ah, childhood movies.
On the Pauly Shore note:
I fucking love Encino Man.
…the weeeasel!
@asmonet totally agree on encino man…..
If you’re edged ‘cause I’m weazin all your grindage, just chill. ‘Cause if I had the whole brady bunch thing happenin’ at my pad, I’d go grind over there, so dont tax my gig so hard-core cruster.
I loved The Cutting Edge, Excess Baggage, and hate to say it but Glitter really wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. I love watching it and singing along to all the songs. :/
I also really, really loved Swept Away with Madonna. I think it was mostly because that Italian guy was super hot though….
@asmonet how could i forget that one? lol
Repo! The Genetic Opera, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Reefer Madness, and Phantom of the Paradise.
