Has anyone read Jack Keroauc's 'Big Sur'? Was it a difficult read for you?

I’m reading Keroauc’s ‘Big Sur’ at the moment. It’s my second attempt to read this book. I’ve reached the half-way mark now and I’m finding it to be such a trying/difficult read. I’m a fan of J.K. but I can’t wait to finish this. Has anyone read it? If so, how was it for you?
