Is there a way of creating a link to a document?

Asked by LostInParadise (32183points) November 29th, 2009

There are many times when I come across a pdf file on the Internet that I do not want to download but would like to bookmark or maybe create a link to in a Fluther post. Is there a way of doing this?

If you left-click the link to the PDF, most browsers will open it up in a seperate window. Then simply copy and paste the URL at the top of that window.

Bookmark a PDF
Right-click (control-click on a Mac) on the link to the PDF, and you will see something like “Bookmark This Link” or “Add to Favorites…” or “Add Link to Bookmarks”.

Link to a PDF
1)
Right-click (control-click on a Mac) on the link to the PDF, and you will see something like: “Copy Link Location” or “Copy Shortcut” or “Copy Link”.
2)
Choose that to capture the address, which will be something like this:
3)
Paste that text into the Fluther comment or wherever you want to save it.
