The wife and I are going to Gran Canaria for a week. Do you have any recommendations for day trips/places to visit?

Gran Canaria.. People don’t actually do anything there, right? Except for maybe sizzle in the sun on the beach. Please take care and don’t get sunburn. Try not to drown when the tide comes in too.

Never been there, so no suggestions except have a great trip & have fun! :-)

Gran Canaria has a wonderful water park in Maspalomas, Aqualand.

You can rent buggies or quad bikes or, if you prefer to be driven, do a jeep safari of the island.

The island is known for its great climbing, if you are into that. You can also rent bikes for cycling trips.

This would not be my thing, but a lot of people really like the Wild West shows in Sioux City.

In Maspaslomas has an attractive lighthouse that you could visit.

We visited Gran Canaria in 2002 for 2 weeks. It’s a great island. The north is really worth a trip, especially Agaete. We also liked Playa de Mogan, San Bartolome, Teror, and of course Las Palmas. On mountain tops in the middle of the Island you will be able to see the Teide volcano on Tenerife. Beautiful sight.
