Good question. I will be interested in the answer, also.
grape juice won't have the artery-clearing benefits of the alcohol in the red wine, but it also won't have the phosphates and other toxins of the wine.
so if it's the alcohol why just red wine and not others wines and alcoholic beverages?
According to the CNN article "Wine or Welch's? Grape juice provides health benefits without alcohol";
If you don't like wine, the latest studies show you can get almost all the same benefits from grape juice. The reason: Purple grape juice contains the same powerful disease-fighting antioxidants, called flavonoids, that are believed to give wine many of its heart-friendly benefits.
but then how do we have an excuse to drink wine? : )
