Would you like to see, and perhaps add to, the Washington Post's annual list of neoligisms?

Asked by Zen_Again (9936points) December 1st, 2009

Do you feel that there is some sarchasm (n): the gulf between the author of sarcastic wit and the person who doesn’t get it, here? Or maybe you are just being an ignoranus (n): A person who’s both stupid and an asshole More Neoligisms included – have you thought of some that didn’t make it to the Post this year?
Here’s the list – then think of your own and post em here for my reading pleasure; thanks and enjoy my lovely jellies:

Once again, The Washington Post has published the winning submissions to its yearly neologism contest, in which readers are asked to supply alternative meanings for common words.

The winners are:

1. Coffee (n.), the person upon whom one coughs.
2. Flabbergasted (adj.), appalled over how much weight you have gained.

that, when you die, your soul flies up onto the roof and gets stuck
there.
16. Circumvent (n.), an opening in the front of boxer shorts worn
by Jewish men.

Here are this year’s winners:

little sign of breaking down in the near future.

credit.)

it’s like, a serious bummer.

consuming only things that are good for you.
