Which is the best wireless g router for multiple connections?

Asked by steveo32oz (10points) December 1st, 2009

i have a ps3, xbox360, laptop, and my brothers ipod that i would like to connect to a wireless network, but do not want to make the mistake of buying a router that can not handle these tasks. I dont use all 4 at the same time, i just would like them to be connected and readily accessible without having to much problems with connection.

n is backwards compatible.

why would you be able to connect only a g router?

steveo32oz's avatar

the wireless connection for a xbox 360 is not compatible with a wireless n router, and im not to sure about ps3

N is compatible all the way back to B. Are you certain?

@pdworkin is right. N is backwards compatible. if you’re really worried, you could get something like an Apple AirPort, which is dual band – g devices connect at g, and n at n – and one does not interfere with the other.

yea i checked the xbox support site and i would have to purchase an upgraded wireless adapter that is 100, and i already have one, but the one that i have is only compatible with g and earlier
