I want to purchase the safest water bottle and I know plastics carry toxins but some are advertising bpa free and I wondered if that was possible?

Yes, they don’t break as easily and don’t leak chemicals into the water.

The best choice for a re-useable water bottle is one made from stainless steel. They can handle most liquids, can be cleaned easily and, most important, don’t leach any chemicals.

On the recyclable plastics scale, the two you want to watch out for is type 3 and type 7. If you do want to get a plastic bottle (like a nalgene or something), look for a type 5 that isn’t manufactured with BPA’s

Camelbak has a great line of bottles; both metal and plastic ones. Their bottles are all BPA-free because they recalled all of their old ones, and all that is sold now are bottles without BPA.

I use a plastic one for the gym, and an insulated metal one for everything else. They make excellent products.

I’ve got a really nice metal water bottle (and it’s really light when empty) it seems to
keep the water cooler for longer.

I carry a Sigg which I think is aluminum but has some sort of liner in it so you don’t get Altzheimers from the aluminum. I have an insulated sleeve for it and I take it everywhere and refill it from a tap. I am trying to never ever buy another plastic bottle again.

I am getting my own cow next week so I won’t have to stop drinking milk because it ONLY comes in plastic.
